Alexander’s Band
The weather the past few days has been miserable. Cold (long pants cold!) and wet. Luckily, when the doldrums get too unbearable, nature will sometimes throw you a gem to look at. Last night, we had a spectacular double rainbow.
It was so large and close that I had to make a panorama.
By digitally adjusting the color levels, you can clearly see the second rainbow. This effect is known as Alexander’s Band.
A close-up of the double rainbow.
I couldn’t convince Marga to go out into the cold rain to look for the pot of gold. Myths that aren’t part of your culture sound stupid.
