Hot Air Balloons

I didn’t do anything interesting this weekend. I’ve still got the tail end of my cold from the previous weekend, and I’ve been studying for my driver’s test on Wednesday.

I did find this great set of sample tests on the Dirección General de Tráfico’s (like the Spanish DMV) page. Click on that link and select a test from the dropdown menu to see what kind of thing I’m up against. Those are actual questions taken from actual tests. How well could you do? I have to get 90% of the right to pass.

We watched Todo Sobre Mi Madre last night. The director, Pedro Almodóvar, is a strange man. The best thing about him is that he casts Penelope Cruz in all his movies. I don’t think I would have understood much of the movie if it had been in English, so I didn’t follow much at all in Spanish. My Spanish isn’t fluent enough yet to understand complex plot shifts involving transvestite prostitutes.

For your entertainment, I give you a cool timelapse video of hot air balloons that I found recently. You gotta admit that it’s a pretty cool video.

Check out how the moon moves throughout the video. It partially gave me the idea for my Moonrise video.

I took a look at a couple of those tests. Since most questions have 3 choices, I’m pretty sure I could answer 35% to 40% correctly. Good luck getting to 90%.

i just think it’s neat I can see what is on your iTunes by refreshing this page.

It’s even neater than that. You don’t have to refresh. That part of the sidebar refreshes automatically for you ever two minutes. :-)
