This also extends to the built in "text widget" within WP. It seems there is conflict with IE7 (one report of 6) that is killing the process for many people. I cannot create a new Text Widget or alter an existing one, the same as with the Widgetize Anything widget..... So, not necessarilly your issue, but is affecting it.
