Okay, I went and voted, it seems he's in first place now. I haven't heard of any of these blogs before, it's funny but the only expat blog I usually read is "Notes from Spain", the others are mostly bloggers living in their own countries. I'll add yours to my list, though, and I'll check out some of the others.

Hey, Hubbers, it's not my fault if your employer routes all your on-the-job web surfing through a server in Ohio. You're just lucky that they pay you in sterling and allow traffic to entertaining websites like this one.

I didn't want to vote for the guy. Basically I hate people who beg to gain advantage over others. Also I saw the blog called "My Boyfriend is a Twat" and wondered if it might be a secret blog that my girlfriend is keeping so I had to give that one a vote in case not voting for it got me in trouble. But then I realised that I could vote for both! And I figured that all the candidates were probably on the internet all day voting for themselves and crawling along the ground like the snakes they are begging strangers near and far to vote for them.

So I voted for your ‘friend’ and he has a massive leap in popularity and is now tied equal first place. So it seems that he was the only one using unscrupulous methods to win.

I feel dirty.

Hey, look! Someone else got duped into posting the same email!

It'll be interesting, in a few days, to google the phrase "faux glory of What Could Have Been" or "we started off dismally last and are currently in a reasonably healthy second place" and see how many hits you get.
