		<description>I love the second picture. I too have a fascination with miniaturized stuff. I especially like elaborately furnished doll houses. I got my first Borrowers book for Christmas when I was about 10, and subsequently read all of them. There is at least one Borrowers movie too. 

I meant to notify you when Mr. Wizard passed a couple of weeks ago. His tv show would bore the heck out of kids today, but in the 50's it was electrifying (!) stuff.</description>

		<description>I was trying to explain about The Borrowers to Marga just now, and she reminded me of &lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYqvAzGpYME" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Littles&lt;/a&gt; (&lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byHoJ47NQl8" rel="nofollow"&gt;Los Diminutos&lt;/a&gt; in Spanish), a cartoon that I used to &lt;em&gt;love&lt;/em&gt;!  The best part about the show was how they would show you how to make little miniature stuff from household items at the end of every episode.

And while I'm on the topic of childhood television...  Rest in peace, &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Herbert" rel="nofollow"&gt;Mr. Wizard&lt;/a&gt;.  There are thousands of the world's top scientists that got their career interest from you.  Thank you.</description>
