Starry Night

Loading ...This isn’t quite as beautiful as Van Gogh’s painting, but I’m pretty happy with my first attempt at a 30-second night time exposure with my new camera. If you click on the image, you can see notes about each of the visible stars in Flickr.
The application I used to identify the stars is Stellarium, the best freeware application available for night sky watchers.

Awesome! I just watched tonights lunar eclipse take place in Stellarium. Now I know what side of my house I need to have my camera on should I choose to get up at 4:00 AM tomorrow morning to capture it.
