The actual answer is that I had taken my laptop out onto the golf hole behind our condo to enter scores in a golf skills challenge into a spreadsheet. My laptop's battery was kaput, though, and I didn't end up using it at all. The money was part of an entry fee for the competition, and, well, how could I <em>not</em> have a beer with me? Clearly because there wasn’t any more room on the table! Duh!
