Thanks for the timely reminder/warning. I’m glad that there was a safety net to catch you both times. Regarding the blog back-ups, I’m really surprised that web hosting companies don’t offer automatic weekly backup as a service. I’m sure many people would be willing to pay a little extra for such a service.

Do these accidents come in threes? I’m going to leave my camera in its case for a week just to be sure.
And yes, I do have UV filters on both my lenses.

I’m very pleased to know that my advice made a difference. The weird part, as you already know, is that the same damn thing happened to me, and for the second time in as many years a $10 filter gave its life for the greater good.
