Scorpion MoonLast night, I took a timelapse video of the waning gibbous moon rising in the night sky using my usual method. Unfortunately the focus was a little off. Apparently “infinity” focus was inappropriate.

The moon was accompanied on its celestial journey last night by Antares, the 16th brightest star in the night sky, only a mere 600 light years away. Antares is the central star in the constellation Scorpius, forming the center of the scorpion’s cephalothorax.

I am also an American living in Spain. I just knew I had to capture that moon, too.
I got it as it set, which happened exactly at sunrise, here in Benalmádena Costa, Málaga.
Keep posting masterpieces, you are very talented, and the effort you put in really pays off.

How bizarre. Another American living in Spain taking timelapse videos of the moon and making tilt-shift miniature fakes in photoshop.

    Thanks for popping by, Ray!
