Lamb Dinner
Not this past Saturday, but the one before (the day before the storm), we had a lamb dinner with Marga’s family (uncles, aunts, and some cousins included) at the Centro Extremeño, where we had our wedding party extension. I got some good photos of the meat preparation that I wanted to share before any more time passes.
Raw meat while oven was preheating. Poor little lambs…
Chopped garlic! Yum!
Turning them over in the oven.
Basting video. Mmmm…. Basting…
The final result!
As we left, I had to get a shot of one of the Chinese restaurants in Mondragon that I’ve been wanting to snap for years. Let’s see…what might you call a Chinese restaurant in a town called Mondragon? …. Why, “Mon Dragon”, of course!

What’s the Spanish attitude to vegetarianism, out of interest?
Spanish vegetarians are about as rare as albino muslims.
My in-laws made a huge deal about my vegetarian cousin coming to my wedding. My father-in-law knew the only vegetarian in town and insisted that she be introduced to my cousin. Because, in his mind, despite not speaking a word in common, they must have so much to talk about! Fortunately, in all the matrimonial hubbub, the awkward meeting never occurred.
