My in-laws made a <i>huge</i> deal about my vegetarian cousin coming to my wedding. My father-in-law knew the only vegetarian in town and insisted that she be introduced to my cousin. Because, in his mind, despite not speaking a word in common, they <i>must</i> have so much to talk about! Fortunately, in all the matrimonial hubbub, the awkward meeting never occurred. Spanish vegetarians are about as rare as albino muslims.
