The Onion has absolutely nailed my feelings on the US Presidential election.

“While you are 100 percent certain that your preferred candidate’s stance on issues such as foreign policy and the economy would appeal to any human being with half a brain, there is, in this very same country, an equally large voting bloc which believes that you and your candidate of choice are absolutely insane,” the report’s co-author Dr. Mark Grier said during a press conference. “Every single thing you love about your candidate’s personality, vice presidential pick, and family, 60 million other registered voters absolutely deplore.”

HAHAHAHA. I do love The Onion.

  2. Mother Theresa:

How true! :D So, have you voted yet? I just got my absentee ballot in the mail the other day.

  3. Erik R.:

Gonna vote this week, Theresa. It pleases me that you are too.

  4. Mother Theresa:

I never said I was actually going to vote, only that I received my ballot. ;)

Theresa, if you agree with the article, then you obviously have an opinion. And if you get your way, this will be the last US election you can vote in, so don’t let The Other Guy win.

Of course there’s nothing like the electoral college system to make you feel like voting isn’t worth the effort. It’s not like California’s going red any time soon.

    genius!

I find it kind of strange that people always urge you to vote like if it was a matter of life or death. I find it downright irresponsible. Do NOT urge people to vote. Urge people to research the facts, to look in depth into the pros and cons of each candidates, to research what they stand for, what they are campaigning. If they do that, they will want to vote and it will be an informed vote. The only kind that is important.
