Last week, we went to a medieval festival in Laredo centered on some historic event of King Carlos V landing in Laredo in 1556.

On Monday night, we had a Spanish (Galician, really) delicacy called “pulpo” (”octopus”). Despite being told many times, my parents were still kind of surprised that, yes, it really was a real octopus.

On Sunday, my parents and Marga’s parents went to Laredo to see the sights.
