Ark Under Construction

Just a little more wacky weather whinging. All last night there was hail pelting our windows, and today I see that we’ve got several more days of downpours in the future. It plainly does not mainly rain in the plains in Spain…how inane.

Rainy Night

These are two photos I took last night and tonight. The weather for the Easter holiday has been downright repugnant. The sky in the first picture was as clear as it’s been, and clouded over shortly after.

Sniffles

I’ve had a slight cold all week, sniffling and nose-blowing every couple minutes all day long. Just as the horrible weather we’ve had lately reminds me to appreciate good weather more, being sick helps me to appreciate how nice it is to be well. I tell myself that, psychologically, these valleys are absolutely [...]

Structural Defect

After a year of digging and sucking, they’ve finally begun construction of a new apartment complex on a part of Colindres that is basically quicksand. Electronics Prices in Europe

Electronics prices in Europe are really insane. When I visited the US in Feburary 2007, I also purchased my MacBook Pro, which I feel like I’ve had forever now. It cost me $1,000 less in the US than it would have if I had bought it in Europe. At the time of [...]

I’m a real driver now!

Today marks the one year anniversary of me getting my Spanish driver’s license. This means that I no longer have to display that stupid L1 on my forehead the car. In Spain, you see, for the first year that you have your license, you have to display this L sign which means that [...]

Sunrise at 5:30

Computers store the current time as a single integer: the number of seconds since 12:00 AM on January 1, 1970, Greenwich Mean Time. From this integer value, a very complex algorithm must be applied to arrive at the current date and time for your timezone, counting leap years and all that other arbitrary stuff [...]
