Today, December 15, is the five-year anniversary of my move to England in 2001. I left a confused and emotional nation, still unsure of what action should be taken against its September 11 attackers. Who knew that the world would be so much worse off five years later?

It’s a slow blogging week. We went to Marga’s folks for the weekend and I came down with a cold. From one day to the next, I went from perfectly fine to bedridden. The first time I visited them I did the same thing, as well as the first year I went to Extremadura with them. They must think I have a very weak immune system.

Here are a few photos that I’ve taken over the past year or two that all have something in common: vanishing points. A vanishing point is a point in a perspective drawing to which parallel lines seem to converge.
